valentine's day

this year, heart's day fell on a saturday... and that would only mean one thing... heart's day is a mike's day!!! since we are in an economic crisis, we celebrated the v-day in an economical way... we ate at jollibee (we ordered chicken and champ value meal) and went to mall not to buy something but to window shopped... we ate dinner at our house (theme: filipino dishes- rice, steamed kangkong with calamansi and fresh sliced tomatoes and eggplant with egg).

and to make the day extra special, i gave mike chocolates and of course love letter telling him how much i love him and how special he is ... well, valentine's would not be complete if you would not receive flowers right?... so mike gave me a bouquet of flowers (actually i asked him the day before if he'll give me one... nagparamdam na ko na im expecting to receive flowers on valentine's day)

it would not matter how you celebrated the valentine's day... expensively or the economical way... but what's important is that you love each other and on that special day, you made your extra-special someone feel that she is your princess or your knight in shining armour.. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY MY LOVE!!! MUUUAAAHHH

15th Annual Regional Convention

last 01-24-26-08, i together with my classmates joined the Region III's Annual Convention held at Treasures of Bolinao, Patar, Pangasinan. This is our last convention since we would be graduating soon. Different academic and non-academic activities took place which were participated by the students coming from different schools in region 3. i joined three events, namely: Business Law and Taxation Tilt (im not happy with my performance because it's hot and my skin sores due to sunburn), Amazing Adventure (supposed to be we ranked 3rd but due to unfavorable circumstances we landed 4th) and the Mock Board Exam (i landed 48th out of hundred plus students who took the exams)

at the bus... ready to go!!!

before going to bolinao, our group
decided to stop by Manaog Church for guidance and support (we're religious persons)... i saw these sculpture of our lady of manaoag... at first i thought it was made out of cement... but my classmate told me it was made out of wood... look at the tiny termite holes....

after the long travelling time from manaog (four hours i suppose), we arrived at Treasures of Bolinao... the place is nice, the room we got is also good because it is near the beach so the scenery is fantastic especially during sunset...the beach? i may say that it is still virgin, so you could still enjoy it's beauty and cleanliness to the fullest (you wouldn't see a judge gum wrapper or humpy dumpy foil pack floating)...but what makes it a little bit not so good convention are:

inuman session by the beach... bonding moment na din

guess who... where am I?

getting ready for the mock board

  • food (sunog at mukhang NFA grains ang kanin, the serving is not enough at masmasarap pa ang luto ni tita a carinderia na malapit sa ps compared sa ulam sa treasures) solution: due to connections, nakakuha kami ng mga extra food stubs... meaning more chances of going back to get food...
  • television (maganda ang tv... malaki... kaso walang reception) solution: buti na lang dala ko ang psp...
  • hot water (hot water is for sale!!! P20 per cup!!! masmahal pa sa coffee or cup noodle ang water)solution: buti na lang hindi ako nagdala ng cup noodle for mirienda
  • water (mahina ang tubig sa cr!!!) buti na lang may deeper na available

after the convention, we went to the nearby lighthouse (Cape Bolinao) where the scenery is also fantastic... took some pictures... sayang lang nga nakasara yung lighthouse... maybe the view up there is more fascinating... as a whole the bolinao "academic escapade" is somewhat a valid excuse for us to take a break from our usual school-house mode... hope next time, talagang escapade na talaga ang gagawin namin doon... for sure babalik ako ulit doon..
